We may have a beat on why Cristiano Ronaldo has to occasionally visit ladies of the night. His fascination with little shorts (and, well, himself) has seemingly been a turn-off for women who like to show more leg than their men. We just didn’t know it until Colombian novela star Elisa Sanchez came out with the admission that she turned down the Manchester United star because the shorts made him seem… well, a little gay. And here we thought his bingo habit was his downfall.

He was really red, like he had been laying out in the sun too long, and kept putting oil on himself all the time. He was wearing these tiny little swimming pants. The way he was preening himself was hilarious.

I had absolutely no idea who he was — and we were all convinced he was gay… He winked at me and tried to chat me up but I don’t speak English well… so I just said ‘Sorry’ and walked away.

Hey it’s better than the alternative when you’re trying to pick someone up in another language. We’ve been maced in six different countries just for asking if a woman had a light for our cigarette. Sure it was while we stared at their boobs, but still… pretty harsh.
