Reports coming out of New York are conflicting, but someone was taking sleeping pills at former Knicks head coach Isiah Thomas’ house in Purchase, New York and overdosed. Uh oh! We kid because apparently no one died, but the question remains—who was it? The New York Post is saying it was Thomas himself, while the AP is not naming names. Was it him? His daughter? Eddie Curry? Let’s look at the more salacious Post report and see what they have to say.
Thomas, 47, was taken to White Plains Hospital Center after Harrison police and an ambulance crew were summoned to his Purchase home at about midnight. Police refused to specify if Thomas was the one taken to the hospital, but did say that the victim was a “46-year-old male” who had swallowed sleeping pills.
But when they followed up, Thomas said it was his daughter was taken to the hospital, and it was because of an incident that happened at school.
When reached at his home, Thomas said his daughter had been taken to the hospital - not him.
“None of us are OK. My daughter is very down right now,” [Thomas] told The Post, adding that the incident “wasn’t an overdose” and had occurred at school.
So, either Thomas is lying, or the Purchase police mistook him for his daughter. No offense to Isiah, but his daughter must be the ugliest girl in the world if that happened. The world awaits to hear the real answer soon.
