Facebook Group Started To Stop The Pain Of The "Saved By Zero" Ads
If you’ve watched any of sporting event in the past month or so—whether it’s the baseball playoffs, an NFL game or MMA battle—you’ve seen what’s probably the most annoyingly catchy ad jingle since those “This Is Our Country” Toyota ads. It’s the “Saved By Zero” ads from Toyota (again!) that has us pressing the mute button every time the station goes to commercial and muttering under our breath that we’re never buying a Toyota. The ads are so ubiquitous that a movement on Facebook has been started by upstanding citizen Rohit Thawani to get them off the air. Well, that or create a group where people can convene and share their misery about having to hear that song at least start 10-15 times a game.
Really?? Are you kidding me?? You’re telling me that this trash somehow was supported by a creative director??
You’re telling me that a powerhouse client said “Wow, this is a great spot! Lets buy 3,000 units and play it all day, everday!”?
You’re telling me these people still have jobs?
This is the official Facebook support group for victims of the “Saved By Zero” Toyota commercial. Together, we can bring support. Together we can be strong. We can be united. We can fight for the greater good - with the greatest good being to never subject someone to this type of pain anymore.
The original song comes from the 80s band The Fixx, and sadly the commercial version’s better. We’re posting it here as an attempt to give you, the reader, the whole picture but don’t blame us if you’re in a meeting, or an elevator, or getting a lube job and you start to hum the song incessantly. Because unlike the ad or a good financing deal on a car, nothing can save you once this song’s in your head.

Those “This is Our Country” commercials weren’t for Toyota, Chevrolet I think. Guess that shows how effective they were.

Thank goodness, finally a place where i belong!!! I hate this damn commercial. I agree with the above, i mean what production company and director was willing to put their name behind this piece of crap. All of the people involved should be fired at once. I mean seriously, who was in the editing room going ” man this is gonna be a hit!!” . It’s junk from top to bottom.

This has got to be the most fucking stupid thing ever. Tring to watch a football game and the only thing I hear is this stupid commercial. PLEASE MAKE IT STOP. I use to like toyota’s but now I would never consider ever purchasing one again. Saved by zero who is saved by zero toyota? Try watching this stupid commercial in high def. I cant take it any more im going to start watching tennis or the election or something other than football. Toyota thanks for destroying one of the few pleasures I have left. HYUNDAI is a better car at a cheaper price with a better warranty anyways. Say your self quit playing that stupid commercial and lets all get back to living our lives.
