Whas Happened In Sports Last Night

- MLB News: Mariano Rivera had shoulder surgery that wil put him out of commission until one month before spring training. [UPI]
- NBA: Elgin Baylor’s reign of terror as GM of the Clippers is over! The new GM will be head coach Mike Dunleavy, which means you can expect half the team to be traded to the Golden State Warriors for his son, Mike Dunleavy, Jr. [LA Times]
- EPL: Apparently booze doesn’t take a hit during an economic downturn. Budweiser has signed on to continue sponsoring Manchester United, probably hoping to nab that jersey spot once AIG can’t pay their bills anymore. [Reuters]
