White, Pasty Reporter Continues Tradition Of Getting Beat Down By Olympics Boxing Medalist

punched_reporter.jpg

Tuscaloosa News sports columnist Chris Walsh isn’t one to keep his jabs contained within the inches of his column. He decided to get into the ring with 6’7 Olympic Bronze medalist Deontay Wilder for the sake of getting a scoop for his paper and got a lot of other things as well, including a black eye and knocked the f-out. Luckily, his paper’s video crew was there to capture the hit that brought him down. Even though the video humorously highlights the.. um… couple of hours he prepared to fight, nothing compares to the hilarity of actually seeing Wilder give Walsh a jab that reminds us of the trailblazing path (and beat down) taken by Alex Blagg when he got beat down by his high school buddy Rampage Jackson for an bit. Who says journalism is dead?

Check it out after the jump.

Its well known that many journalists are repressed wannabe’s of the professions they cover. This includes myself, but history has shown me that getting in the ring with a Boxing Champion, while I am an out of shape, midnight-pizza-eating reporter is not a good idea. Also, I don’t know why Chris is smiling, he just his ass seriously whooped!

I don’t know, if I was punched by… say Mike Tyson in a professional setting I’d be smiling too.
