The Dallas Morning News reports today that Tomo Romo passed out in the shower yesterday after the Cowboys’ devastating loss against Philadelphia. “Um, you know, I was just a little banged up, I guess,” he said at a press conference later. Athletic trainer Jim Maurer and his staff reported that Romo collapsed due to overwhelming pain from rib injuries most likely sustained during his three sacks. Yeowch. They ran into the shower after teammates began frantically calling for help. One teammate called for paramedics who arrived with a stretcher, but weren’t needed in the end as Romo was helped to his feet by teammates. The Fort-Worth Star Telegram adds that Romo was short of breath and had to be helped off a press stage later that day. Sounds like quite the drama. Here’s hoping they get him all patched up. Lord knows they could use the help.
